So when i first got shrimp, i had 9. i have netted out 2 because they died and ive slowly lost shrimp population. i just did a shrimp count and i have 3. i just rescaped but i was paying very close attention and im pretty sure i didnt bury any.

Anyways, i heard from someone that tetras will sometimes either eat or kill shrimp. ive never seen mine do that but i did notice they will pick on them and chase them around.

:help2:

Btw, they are bloodfins.

What kind of tetras? I can guarantee you that Diamond Tetras are shrimp killers. I bought 20 RCS from someone on here for $1 each, and they ended up being a VERY expensive snack for my diamond tetras. Every single one was decimated within minutes. Of course they were stupidly whirling around the top of the tank instead of hiding in all of the java moss and such that I've got in there, but yes some tetras at least can and will kill/eat shrimp.

^^My white skirts did the same. I paid bought 20 and I am left with 7 only because I got them out fast.

They may have but I wouldn't normally expect them to. Is there anything else in your tank that may have killed them?

Anyone of those fish could have killed the shrimp. Zebra Danios tend to poke at everything, maybe they got a little too boisterous. I would say it was probably the Glass Cats or Bloodfins though.

My guess is that anything that can fit a shrimp in it's mouth will eat a shrimp. Sometimes the shrimp seem too big and still get eaten.
