Pricing is probably due to the fact that very few people can support an adult and the store wants to get rid of them asap before space is an issue.

I dunno, there are a lot of blackmarket out here, especially in the japanese run pet stores. The police force is weak out here, and don't care what gos on. Next time I am out in pearl city, Honolulu, Ill snap some pics and show you what I mean.. Its crazy

Really they can be chipped then they are legal but I'm guessing this guy imported them along with 400 other boxes and realized the mistake... It's a pretty penny but waste not want not.
