Are the bubbles too much?

I put the air pump from the other tank into the big tank with a bubble disc. It seems like the fish don't want to go over there now. They were on the left side the whole time, and since I put the bubble disc, they moved to the right side.
 
Air bubbles are purely for decoration.
They aeration of water happens at the surface due to water movement.

Fish stay away from bubbles if they are too large as a rule.
They affect water density so the fish hit a water packet
as the airplane hits airpocket :)

The whales actually 'net' fish in circular bubble nets.

I would recommend get an airstone and adjust
on the pump for a small bubble stream.
 
Don't worry, the fish forgot all about them now. I think that they were a little scared because it was only their first day in the tank. Everything is great now.
