Ok I posted wondering why my one tetra looked different then the others after looking them up I found the one I thought was odd is what is on all the sites as a black skirt and the others are different. I looked up long fin tetras and it kept showing pictures of white tetras I could not find ones that looked the way mine do!! Does anyone know if these are just another variety of the black skirt or why they are different? They look exactly like the one I thought was odd execpt for their fins are much longer. Sorry for the glare on the pictures I couldn't get a picture without the flash so that made it a little tough to get the picture.

Thank you :D

yes my bala swam past as I was clicking (spot hog), any way yes, that is exactly like the tetra I thought was odd, the reason I am wondering about the others is their fins are sooooo much longer I'm not sure why. I originaly was wondering about the one that has short fins but after looking them up I found the one with the short fins is for sure the black skirt, but are the ones with the long fins the same type or are they something different?

Oh did you think I tought the bala was a tetra (lol)? Ok I could see where you would think that because I said I had 5 tetras and one looked different! I didn't even think of that when I posted the pics, no the one with the shorter fins just didn't get in the pic.

Ok my 4 look just like the ones at the fishinthe.net site and my 1 odd ball looks just like the one at giveusahome.co.uk.

THANK YOU FOR THE LINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes that must be what happend they must of just had one of the regular in the tank and I ended up with him, to bad I didn't really notice the difference sooner I could of taken him back and got replaced him with the right one (the store only takes them back within 3 day's of purchase), but like I said they do seem to get along so I'm not going to worry much about it.

Thanks again,
Gin
