Hey all,

These are my angels. Notice that one is quite a bit smaller. They were all around the same size when I got them ~1 year ago. Someone suggested that they might be stunted? What do you think? I think the half black may be :( Likely to have any long term effects? Are my angels likely to get much larger? Sorry, it was really hard to get a pic of the marble as he's mostly black, even his eyes.

Have they been in your 65g since you got them, if so I dont see why they would be stunted.. You may have just gotten bad stock.

they were in a 55g before. With the same other fish (though there used to be 4 cories and 5 lemon tetras) I didn't get them when they were tiny tiny though. They were about quarter-half dollar sized bodies.

do they all look ok?

Well that makes me feel better. Now if they've all been together for a year or so, longer maybe, and there hasn't been any mating action, is there likely to be?

Mating will happen soon enough. Angels tend to be choosy about their partners. My gold angels were only 7 months old when they started pairing off much to my surprise. They spawned when they reach 8-9 months old although they ate the eggs later on.

On another note, you cannot expect all fish to grow equally. Each fish is unique. They will grow differently. Some grow faster than the others. There are plenty of variables that influence their growth rate.
