Are we stunted?

hmmm... to be honest, I was hoping if there hadn't been any action by now it wasn't likely to happen. I just like my happy tank the way it is. Sigh... though I really need to get the cory some buddies. I actually got my 55g from a guy who had a community setup with a few angels, he ended up separating them from everyone, not because he wanted to raise the fry, but because they went insane.

It appears that you have 3 females judging by the distance between the two bottom fins. This isnt a sure fire way to sex the angels, actually the only sure fire way is to see them spawn and have fertile eggs. However considering they havent paired and are adults, Im pretty positive they are all females..

perfect. There is some occasional nipping/chasing between the marble and the pearlscale. But other than that, no aggression which is just the way I like it. Had some bad luck with a group of four juvie angels before this. Even though they were all the same size, there was some serious aggression issues, ended up returning one after it harassed one of the others to death, and after I returned it, another took up it's place as 'bully'. These guys seem to get along great.

Do you think they are likely to get much bigger? they aren't nearly as big as some angels I have seen.

I would say no they are not stunted but.. how large are the angels.
remember stunting is an issue where there are several contributing factors.
tank size/water volume is only one factor.

The marble and the pearlscale are about 3.5" from tail to nose and about 5-6" from top to bottom including fins. The half black is a little more than half of that. I mean, they've certainly grown a lot in the time I've had them, but they are not nearly as big as some of the angels I've seen.

Angels get to 6" which is about the size of music cd. Your angels will probably get close to that size if not all the way up to it. Female angels will sometimes "pair up" where one female lays eggs and then the nonfertile eggs are eaten. This tricks ppl into thinking they actually have a m/f pair, but sometimes females do this when there isn't a male around, so if you see 2 of your angels in spawning behavior, wait to see if the eggs are viable in a couple of days. They'll all turn white if they're no good.
