Are you a gamer?

I used to be much more of a gamer than I am now...

I was always more of an 8-bit computer gamer than a console player, that changed slightly with 16 big consoles (genesis/megadrive + SNES)..

I was always one for RTS games, and the occasional RPG.

These days most of any playing I do is with my 3 year old son.. he's quite partil to ape escape on the PS2 though..

If I play games these days, it's normally 'classic' games, or something that doesn't take too much of an investment in time.. more often some old game on an emulator or something similar.

Age of Empires, the best game. If anyone knows a similar game only better I would love to know so I can play it, seriously. :bowing:

LOL..wasn't sure what gaming was these days. I see mainly electronic. DH and I were into Dungeon and Dragons years ago. Still have a rubbermaid tub of books stashed away and tons of funny looking dice.

Wasn't sure of anyone would even know what it was. I would play with my husband and his buddies...fix them supper, make popcorn, etc. I remember going to a couple of gaming "conventions".

I know what it is (sort of), but I've never played it. I'm from the digital gaming age. Atari and NES are what I've played from infancy.

So what does everyone say? UT2K4 Friday? Or we could play Ground Control which is now free on fileplanet. I can only host 4 players at max including myself though. I have standard DSL.

I can't resist feeling even older.. :sim:
Our friends had the Pong game...definitely one of the first if not the first electronic game system that you hooked up to your tv and played.
(Dale...can we have an old geezer smilie please to insert here)
