So here we go.
I started my project 2-3 weeks ago, ordered a lot of stuff and I'm now down to preparing my stand and setting up my tanks slowly slowly...

Here is where I'm at...
30G and 65G tanks

My 30G tank had beige bracing which I found was not that nice... So I removed it and painted it satin black.

Here are the two Pine wood bases for the tank..
One is going to be on the floor to support my brick legs and distribute the weight and the other under the tank
Here they are before/after staining and varnish

And here is the brick I got for the 4 leg support which will also have a low-luster gloss on the brick.

So now I'm coating my bricks, building myself and homemade gravel cleaner/water changer.

All this while I'm waiting for my glass tops to be cut to my specs, 2 powerheads, gravel and heaters to come in.

Will keep you guys posted ;)

Looks like you are planning in advance which is nice to see. Looking forward to your progress.

Yeah well I've been planning for a while, had my tanks sitting here and started gathering my filters and stuff slowly slowly.
No today I got my first coat for my brick down and measured my glass tops, sent them out to get cut.

Should be filling up my tank starting next weekend I guess.

Well here is an update, I've been busy lately and I was suppose to get a lot of my gear last week but I didn't. I'm suppose to get all my stuff this week, hopefully!
Still waiting for my top glass canopies that I got custom cut.

Here are my tanks with the new black background that I stuck with vegetable oil.

My 65 tank with it's 10G hospital tank underneath.
And my 30G with my filter underneath in the closed cabinet.

Wow, that setup looks great!

Thanks :)
How much did the brick stand cost you at the end? It turned out pretty nice I must say.

The stand cost total about 130$

about 1.80$ each brick =43$

Wood+Stain=60$ ( I still have wood and stain left over, I'll use it to make some wall-speaker stands)

Brick stain= 30$ ( Still a lot left over )

If someone already has stain and wood, it doesn't cost much to make a setup similar to this one, I just didn't have any wood left over that was large enough for the tank.

also in the pictures you can't really see the low-gloss shine on the bricks, but the effect is really nice I must say.... Maybe I might even try the FULL WET look on another setup in the future.
