Assassin Snails

I'm sure this has been answered before.....just not enough time to really search right now (awaiting the hurricane). Do assassin snails kill mystery snails? I want to get 2 for my mts swarm, but don't want to risk my mysteries! Thanks.

Yes they can. I asked my lfs and even my golf ball size one was at risk he said. He has 20 years in the bizz.

I wanted Malaysian to get into the sand with my shrimp tank, shop didn't have any and knowledgable guy suggested assassins. Bought two iddi-bitty ones. It was stupid because I only have one tank and what am I going to feed them? Then I fell in love with they Mystery snails and thought becasue they're so much larger (really larger) they'd be fine. Nope, took this tiny assassin 15 min. I pulled them apart and now I don't know what to do with the two assassins I have.

This is a really old thread, which often get ignored when people comment on them. Just a heads up for future posts.
Check with your LFS and see if they can take the assassin snails. If not a local swap board might be a good idea as a lot of people love assassin snails.
