Take the pain pills BEFORE it gets bad so you don't hurt so. Ewww..stitches in your mouth. Take one before you go to have them taken out.

I second that suggestion. Take the pain meds on schedule, rather than waiting until it hurts. (Speaking from experience here...dental & other surgeries.)

Wow Doll, I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds awful. I hate the dentist, too. Really, really badly.

I hope you start feeling normal soon and that the rest of it isn't so bad. I read the majority of the thread yesterday, so I can't remember - were you awake during the procedure or did they konk you out?

Yes, I was awake but shot up full of novacaine. I didn't feel him doing the work at all aside from the noises and my imagination.. even saw him with the thread and couldn't believe he was sewing me up. Drove home, everything... I go back to see him tomorrow... I just can't wait for the dxay he turns to me and says..... "see you in 6 months!"

I was thinking about taking the med before going to see him but the problem with that is that I don't expect to have any left by the time I go in. I have 1 more dose left and a day and a half to go.....
