I wen t to the SF zoo this weekend!! It was a whole buncha fun. We saw monkeys and bears and even rode the train (went with my friends and thier 7 yr old doughter). They had an amazon rainforrest exibit, with huge ponds full of different fish. The motoro stingray was absent
but they did have arrowanas!! The point of this tread is, if you ever want to buy one of these, they were almost 3 feet long!!!!!! Sure you can read it, see the pics, but untill you see it in person it's hard to comprehend. They had adequate swimming room in a huge pond, but I cannot believe anyone would put these things in a tinny little tank(relatively speaking, like a 55 gal)
They also had some relative to pirana that was about 2 feet in length. Another fish that someone would see as a 3"er, buy it, and throw it into thier 10 gallon. If you are in the bay area, or anywhere with a display like this, go check it out. It was a neat experience.
