Attn: Fluval owners... Question .......

When it's feeding time, I need to stop the water flow at the surface so the fish can feed. Does anyone know if I can close the Aqua-stop of the top of my fluval filter while the filter is still running? I need to stop the filter for approximately 2 minutes twice a day and am not sure if this will damage the motor in any way not being able to pump water back to the tank.

Thanks in advance!

it says in the owners manual not to close the aqua stop more than half way while the filter is running. so i would suggest either doing that or just unplugging the filter while u feed your fish. but definetly dont close the aqua stop all the way. pressure will build up inside the canister and it could be, and probably will be, catastrophic.

You should probably just unplug it during the feeding. It will maintain its siphon (I have the horror story to prove it), so you should just be able to plug it back in after feeding without priming it again.
