Avacado Puffer?

Just saw a Fang's puffer around here. I put a hold on it, but just told them to forget about it. I just can't spare a tank right now. :sad

I don't have a lot of experience with my pair (Cheech & Chong), but I have noticed that they will eat pretty much anything. They love their live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, frozen brine & mysis shrimp, and pond snails, they also eat flake food, bottom feeder pellets and Algae waffers on a regular basis (presently housed with some Ottos and guppies). They haven't shown aggression towards their tankmates, but will rush in and shoulder block the other fish away from the food, they love to steal the pellets and waffers away from the Ottos.
From what I've been able to find out, they do eat seed pods in the wild so may need some veggie matter in their diets.

Thanks for sharing! I will try some vegetable matter as well...the only form of aggression I have witnessed is at feeding time but it is minor compared to my figure eights..

I've never seen a puffer eat veggies, but you might want to try algae wafers & shelled peas.

Speaking of shoulder-blocking other fish--I was feeding a clam to my large GSPs yesterday, & the more dominant one layed inside, guarding the shell, so no one else could eat.

I was floored the first time I saw Cheech steal a waffer from the Otto (not as shocked as the otto I'm sure), I thought he would spit it out but he took it off to the corner and shreaded it, eating about 3/4 of it before flittering off to look for more food.

edited for spelling
