I went to this store in La Mesa, CA called Fountain's and picked me up a 30g tall and some livestock. Got the tank itself with light and lid for $65, which I consider to be a great price. I've only ever seen overpriced 30g talls so when I saw the $35 price tag I snagged it. I also picked up 5x 1" skunk loaches for $1.50 apiece, and a 1.5" candystripe pleco for $8. Super....duper...stoked. I know the skunks can get to 4" but I do have my 100g to throw them in at that point in a year or two. The tank will be hardscaped (driftwood, rocks) with floaters for the top-level swimmers I plan on getting. I took 20 lbs of sand from my 100g and put it in for bacteria's sake, and am running an old penguin 200 I had with some filter media from my established ac100s. Picked up a 100w heater for cheap as well. It's nasty and full of sand but here's a crappy cellphone pic of the tank so far:

I'll do a proper stocking and update thread but I don't have my middle and tops swimmers figured yet so it may have to wait. Either way I'll have more pics tomorrow! Thanks for viewing!

Awesome find! The skunk loaches are super slow growers, they remind me of rats, super active... And actually quite aggressive, remember this for future stocking

Clear it up and you'll be good to go!

I'm kind of aggro about this whole situation with the skunks...two people in my local community told me they weren't aggro if you kept them in groups or 5 of more. I'm greatly considering rehoming them because I don't want any destroyed rummynose or hatchets. I'll probably replace them with the aspidoras or other fish I was going to get. I'll probably sell them for $1 each and get them shipped out asap. This is what aqadvisor just had to say about them LOL!

Doesn't show it, but the image said "ditch them skunks if you want rummys or hatchets".

There's a reptile store that is the only place that sells used equipment. Went to get some feeders and they had a 120 something with stand for $200...I wish I had the extra money!
