my 7-year-old-sister's betta died today, he was like 3 years old.
They're burying it outside right now.

Haha.

My dad was like "do you want to view the body one last time?"
"say bye fish"

and he prayed. It was like
"Dear god, thankyou for letting us keep this fish. He was a very good fish. Please help us not be too sad.
In jesus name, Amen"

That's so cute. Maybe you can get her another one?

I don't know.... Taking care of it was a group effort between herself and my mother, and really I am relieved. That poor thing sat in this like 2 gallon tank all his life. I've tried to explain that just because it CAN live in there doesn't mean it SHOULD but eh. It reminds me of this sort of thing

Anyways, both of them (sister and mother) really should not, IMO, be responsible for the lives of anything... My family is full of mood disorders and such.... and my mom doesn't learn from mistakes. I'm always relieved when we get rid of one of my mom or sister's zillions of pets, or when they die. I feel sorry for them. Otherwise, yeah I'd buy the kid another fish.
