Well, I recently upgraded my tank to a larger size.. Now I'm noticing more and more life then I ever have including 2 little baby anemones's!

Problem is, i donno how to feed these guys. They're really tiny and I don't want them to die..

I have about 4 watts per gallon, and they've held on so far but they haven't gotten any bigger in the year that i've had the live rock that they live on.. (I used to have about 1.5 watts per gallon)

Thanks for any help!

Could you take a pic? Sounds like aiptasia to me.

I think I have a baby anemone to! It's pinkish red and pretty small and in the fuge.

I wish I could take a pic, but my camera has problems getting something so small in focus..

Basically it's really tiny, white, with longish tentcles (about 20?) coming out of a round center.. And the tenticles have little gray lines going across them once and awhile. (only like 2-3 times)..

the smallest one doesn't like the strong light and it shrivels up smaller when I turn them on, the other one is under a little ledge so it has more shade.. And it's larger..

Hmm.. Yep it is aiptasia.. I looked up some pictures (though mine are a lil more white then the pictures I found..)

They say there bad.. But as long as I only got 2 of them I'd like to keep them. They don't move and the little corals that I do haev are on the other side of the tank..

If they are aiptasia you will want to get rid of them while they are small and easily rid of. They can multiply into the thousands in the blink of an eye and will sting everything within reach. They can move and reproduce rapidly. I would invest in a couple of peppermint shrimp or some Joe's Juice and zap them now.

figures..

I always wanted some.. Found out I do have some.. and they're the bad kind..

<scream>
