My male banaggi cardinal fish was finally able to carry through. I came home from work today and saw this little thing hanging out down in the sump. When I looked closer I realized this was in fact a baby. I am so excited! I just bought 2 and lucked out with them pairing up.

Well the baby survived a couple of days, and then wound up in the sump. I tried to move him to the fuge but he kept ending up in the sump. Then one day he just disappeared. I believe he fell victim to the return pump. This is the fourth time he has carried eggs, first time they lasted to babies. I will be more prepared next time. I will buy a small 10 gallon and get it all set up and running ahead of time so when i find them I can move and raise them. I was bummed, he was so cute.

I'd still keep an eye out for him, especially if you have macro algae down there. I remember trying to catch my baby bangaii he kept hiding amongst the rock and algae I have in my fuge.
