hey guys, my baby guppies won't eat! Even egg yolk? do you guys think i should get hikari first bites?

You don't really need that for livebearers. Crumble some good fresh flake, feed tiny frozen food, or hatch some brine shrimp. I'm thinking they'd be too big for microworms or vinegar eels.

Egg yolk is too messy and rich for a tank IMO.

You might not see them eating like adults do. Just watch for their stomachs to change color.

Microworms and vinegar eels are fine. Even most larger fish can't pass up live food, no matter how small. I make egg yolk flakes, it keeps the tank cleaner. Or you can smear some on a rock, bake it and then leave it in the tank for a while for foraging.

The goal is to offer as varied a diet as possible and to feed often and do frequent water changes. Unless the fish is very cold or very sick, it's eating.

I used freeze dried brine shrimp and they ground up easily and my mollie fry love 'em. Should also be good for guppies. lemme know how you fare.
