ok so our store got a shipment of reb belly pacus, that are about an inch long, very cute, but we think they might have shipped us pirhanna instead because the only part that is red is the fins, and they have the over bite and teeth like pirhannas any good pics?
 
he is right, but it is an under bite. that is the only way i know of th tell the diff. between juveniles. just take a look at its jaws.
 
Out of curiousity, how many of the fish are there? If you sperate them into groups of about 2 or 3 you may be able to observe agression which would probably indicate that they are piranhas. Dangerous method, but perhaps effective.

Doh, that's what I meant underbite.
and i specifically made a mind note to NOT put overbite...=(
