Hi,

I am starting a new 25G long tank (30 x 12 x 16" high) and I am wondering what would be good background low-light plants for such tank size. Would amazon sword be too tall for it?

Thanks in advance

that's a relevent question to me actually; will Amazon Sword grow in low light?

20W fluorescent. It comes with the aquarium kit and I know it is quite low. But if I'm just starting out it should be fine, right? I do plan to get a higher watt later

I like the smaller anubius species. They do well in low light (even really low light) but they do grow pretty slowly. Very pretty though.

Anubias, java moss attached to driftwood and java fern will all do well in that lighting. Swordplants IME will not do well in that amount of lighting. They seem to demand more light.
