Backswimmer

From Link Provided said:
They are aggressive predators themselves. They will prey on animals much larger than themselves, including tadpoles and small fish. They suck the body juices from their prey. Backswimmers have a very painful bite and are sometimes called water bees because of the reaction that occurs.

That doesn't concern you? :)

No not really.

I don't plan on handeling it.

And if it eats the other fish I have no problem.

They are actually feeder fish, going to be fed anyway.

I used to catch these as a kid, pretty coo little bugs. Just make sure there are no holes in your hood, since they fly from water body to water body.

We call them boatmen...their "legs" look like little oars. And yes, they can sting when cornered, but they don't atack.

Those aren't the same things that you get in the pool in the summer are they? It kind of looks similar, but I don't remember them biting, we always just called them water bugs...

Naw, water bugs are just black oval shaped bettles that skim on the surface of the water. Got 'em all over here in Tx.

Water boatmen and backswimmers are two different insects.

I've kept water boatmen before.
