I haven't ever seen any with bumps, but when you overbreed and inbreed a fish to isolate a genetic defect who the heck knows what will show up next!
Cathy
I have never seen a balloon belly ram, but I have what they call angelrams, which look nothing like balloon belly mollies, but rather a similar color to rams, but a different body shape and finage... which are you refering too?
Angel rams are rams with long fins... they are fine and aren't genetically inferior, ie, the characteristic they were bred for - the long fins - doesn't effect the health and fecundity of the fish. In the case of balloon rams, they have been bred with swim bladder defects. Some of these fish are sterile, some aren't. Some seem to be healthy, some bob around in the water like corks. They have fat round bodies, like the balloon molly.
