Bamboo in tanks?

Can you use bamboo in a freshwater tank? If so, is there a special type of bamboo that you should use?

Do you mean that "lucky bamboo" plant or like, dead bamboo (looks like round wood)

i wouldnt it could rot and cause a mess. if you were to use it make sure the leaves are above the water.

i've had some in my tank for about 6 months-no problems. make sure you seal the top of the stalk with silicone. this keeps it from getting waterlogged and rotting. i just have mine in a split in a piece of driftwood. make sure the roots are not buried
