I spot feed them with variouse crushed food, also they like groups, so i'd get three or more.

IF they are vampire shrimp then they will get much larger, much larger than a bamboo shrimp.

Bamboo shrimp can grow to about 4" or so. Vampires get to about 6".

Just adding to the discussion: I've read that they require 20 gallons per shrimp for the tank to provide enough food to support them. Could be wrong, just something I read (either here or cichlid-forum.com)

That's not necessarily true since how much available food in your tank would depend on more factors than just tank size, and you could just feed them yourself anyways. Probably isn't a bad guideline though.
