barnacles

I have a small barnacle on a piece of rock with a dozen mushroom polyps on it. Should I kill the barnacle to let the mushrooms take over his space?

They shouldn't bother each other, so no need for drastic action on your part. Odds are that the barnacle will die on its own within a month or so as there isn't enough planktonic food in most tanks to support them.
