This stuff was starting to grow on my slower-growing plants (Anubius, Cardinalis, etc). I notices it grow faster when I does iron. So did a few things

1) Increased CO2.
2) Stop dosing Fe (Iron).
3) Bought 4 SAE (The GOOD ones) These were hard to find.

Three weeks later ===NO MORE BEARD ALGAE!!!!

All gone!!! Plants still doing great!! Not sure which of the things fixed it, maybe all three combined.

congratulations. Now that you hav your saes, you wont have to worry about it any more. i had to special order mine at the pet store, they said they didnt carry them because ppl didnt seem to be interested in them because they were "plain" go figure.

Just out of curiosity, can you provide a little more info as to the 'before' and 'after' regemine that helped cure it?

I've been fighting it for years and at best can get it to stop spreading, but even that never lasts.

Thanks,
BC
