Does anyone prepare this for more carnivorous fish? I have 2 Knifefish and 2 Oscars, which I was told to I could feed beefheart. How do I prepare this? Run it through my food processor? Slice it? Drain or rinse off the blood? How do you do it??? Thanks..

I've seen Hikari frozen beefheart at my LFS, packaged in small individual cubes. Judging by that, I'd say if you were to prepare your own the food processor would be the way to go. I've never prepared it myself...

Thanks Ger....I did it. I ran it through my food processor and froze it into small chunks. They thoroughly enjoyed what I gave them "fresh".. The heart only cost $1.34. A lot of quality fish food for little money...Thanks for stopping by!

Recipe

Here's the best beefheart recipe I have seen: Beefheart.

80galJoe: That is one healthy recipe! I only wish I had enough fish to justify making it.

Matak,
I use frozen stuff... But, for those that want to make it....... :)
