Hey guys!

One of my friends at work has a small tank i mean 10 gal at most. He's very inexperienced with fish keeping and so got duped into buying alot of unsuitable fish. He also got a lot of really bad info (he got told to clean out his tank by taking out a bucket of tank water put the fish in there and replace the remaining water). How the fish have survived I really don't know!

Anyhoo he was sold 2 sailfins (one didn't make it) As expected the other is far to big for the tank and so has offered it to me. Can anyone give me some info how big, agressive etc. before I decide to take it off his hands??

Is this species, Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps? As far as the aggression, plecs do get aggressive especially when they attempt to defend their territories from trespassers. They do grow to 18 inches if conditions allow it. Feeding them is no problem. They'll take anything especially veggies.

I see you signature states your tank is 130 liters. It's not really suitable for that pleco but if you have plans to upgrade, then it's possible to take it and house it there temporarily.
