Does anybody know the best sponge filters? Most of mine get clogged up pretty quickly and when I clean them, I just release a bunch of debris back into the water, which just ends up eventually sucked into the sponge again. I have used hydors, and only the ones rated up to 125 gallons seem to go pretty long before they get clogged. But they are not really feasible in smaller tanks, because of the size. I also use the blue ones (cannot remember the name though). These work great under gravel, but above gravel they get clogged quickly as well. I would like to find ones that are small and don't get clogged quickly. Mostly, I would like these for bare tanks where I feed a lot of live foods to fry and small fish.
