I really think you will be needing more than $300. My lights alone cost $300 and they are only PC for a 30g. If you really want to save some money you should go second hand and try to find a deal somplace. Maybe some other people have a few suggestions about saving money without cutting corners but I don't know of any. It also depends a lot on what you want to keep in the tank. Good luck.

a 24nano is a good idea but that really limits your fish. but its a a very good coral setup. i would just try to find a deal some where like he said

Thanks for all the help!

are there other nano cube like products out there?

there are other nano starter kits out there but the nano cube gives you wat you pay for and with the fish you want it shoould be great you could even get some clowns
