I totally forgot to comment on the mirror idea you mentioned very early in this thread patoloco.
Thing is - it doesnt really excite him anymore like it used to. LOL
He flares at himself using his reflection in the tank sides - but only when he chooses to. Show him a mirror - he looks - one quick 2 second flare and then goes on doing "his" thing.
I will try the ping pong ball though - and hopefully upgrading his tank in the near future and adding some other creatures besides snails will have somewhat of an effect. I shall try and post back with the results.
Oh and S.A. - since he has snail babies to hunt and eat he isnt begging for food as much anymore either. Have to be careful that he doesnt get fat.
