I just got a blue betta on monday. I assume he's a male since he's blue. He refused he eat the first day but eventually started to eat little by little. i gave him 2 pellets in the morning 2 in the afternoon and 2 at night so he can get used to the food since he was refusing to eat much. He's been making bubblenets a lot and that would be a sign of being happy no?

A few days b4 i saw his belly getting a little bit big so i decided to give him a pea, but his belly soon got smaller but i still gave him one, he ate about 1 full pea w.o the skin ofcourse he even ate the one that fell on his bridge.. The day before giving him the pea i also spotted that his scales were grey i'm not really sure if they were grey to begin with but i dont think so. his head is also turning black-ish? is this normal at all? he's very active

is he losing color? or sick? although he's active and making bubblenets i just want to make sure. I have about maybe 2 g of tank? i'm not sure but it has no heater or filter.

some pictures [plz observe the color of his belly]

I don't see an issue. What are your water parameters?

My bettas changed color alot after being brought home and put in my tank. I would observe his behavior and if he is acting normally and not bloated, etc. I would not worry yet.
