Does anyone else think or would like to have a huge tank for small fish?
I would love a massive 500Gal or so tank for my little fish, I would have such large schooling groups, it would be cool!
Anyone else think so??

i think that would be awesome if little fish are something that you know you will stay interested in. I started my 75 that way and quickly got swept away by the big fish bug lol. But I do still love my little ones :)

I think a large tank with large schools and shoals of fishies would be awesome. I joke around all the time by saying when I get my ray tank finished that I will keep just one small guy like a cherry barb or something in there for a spell while it is getting good and cycled. Maybe play a "where's the barb" game. lol

I can tell you first hand from watchign a couple hundred of individual species that its just mind-bogglign how much cooler little fish are in very large groups. I would keep in mind that you might want to have some sort of centerpiece fish in order to bring out the best schooling behavior of the smaller fish.

I went from a 10g to a 20 to a 30g then two 55g and now a 120g, all small fish. Biggest fish are Angels and a pleco. Big fish are ugly...sorry. =p

Yea, I got a Opaline Gourami as my center, but she is only 4in and doesnt want to grow more. The Angels will outgrow her soon..

I personally think large fish are horribly boring and a waste of a large tank. My dream is to eventually get a 300+ gallon with micro fish.

I want a big tank full of dwarf puffers. :)

I have a 125 with various tetras, hatchets, loaches, Angels, etc. I love it. It's a wonderful tank to watch. There are about sixty-five or so fish in all.

The only thing that I will say is those little fish carry more of a bioload than I every thought that they would. I'm doing once-weekly water changes and in order to keep Nitrate below 10 now. So keep an eye out for that!
