How about 50k? I know some people that do. AND, for later on:
Kids at the University of Waterloo are getting 100k+ jobs at IBM right out of school?
I bet those people are stretching the truth on their salaries. Most university grads don't make 50k right out of school, at least not in Canada. Sure, there are some jobs that pay higher wages, but they are the exception rather than the rule. Most people have to "pay their dues" and work their way up to higher salaries (some quicker than others, depending on the industry/business.) Out of high school, though, you won't be making 50k for a very long time...and it's getting tougher to work your way up the ladder with only a high school diploma...a degree is becoming a must have for career advancement.
