Bio ball mod for protein skimmers

I am still lost? im guessing this mod doesnt apply to venturi skimmers? cause i dont see how putting something on the impeller can smash air bubbles when they are pulled in through the venturi...

please someone correct me if im an idiot.

You can't use the regular venturi. It needs to pull air in with the water on the intake section of the pump. Then it gets smashed up.

ahhh, is there a chance i can buy a pump that does that? or is that one of those deals where it comes with the skimmer? i wonder if that would even be effective on a venturi driven skimmer? I'm thinking it would hinder a venturi more than it would help.
