This is nothing to excite anyone but I need a handfull of bioballs to attempt some protein skimmer mods. I am more than happy to pay or trade something to a fellow hobbiest (sp) but I don't want to pay a store for a gallon of these things.

If anyone knows where you can buy these in small quantities that would be helpfull as well.

I do plan to ask my lfs for one or two but havent found the local stores to be the most customer service orientated.:shakehead:

How many do you need? Also what is the mod you are doing to your protein skimmer that requires bio-balls?

Lowes actually sells them. I think they are sold in packs of 12. They are for ponds, so they are slightly larger. They are outside, by the fountains and waterfall pumps, and pond accessories.

If I remember correctly, I think they are like 7.00. A pretty bad deal, but if you only need a few, then it might work out.

Sorry for the late replies.

Ricsreef...I am doing a mod where you cut down a bioball and fit it around the impeller of a protein skimmer...supposedly it helps quite a bit.

Tel...had no idea about Lowes...I will take a look.

John...I only need 2 or 3...another genleman has mailed some to me...mind if I contact you if that falls through?
