Okay, so I have this bottle of Bio-Safe. Is it supposed to smell like skunk? Seriously, I used it to dechlorinate two gallons of water for my betta and it made the whole room smell. I figured maybe it would dissipate, but it hasn't in two days.

Normally I use Aqua-Safe and I'll probably switch back immediately. But did I get a bad bottle or does Bio-Safe smell badly?

Well, Aqua safe doesn't smell like roses either, but it should not stink the whole room. Sodium thiosulfate, which is used on most dechlorinators as active ingredient, stinks and will give you a sneeze reflex if you deliberately inhale it. (Don't ask me how I know, please) Check the expire date of your product to see if it fresh.

Anyway, if you are still in doubt, discard it and get a new one. Don't risk your fish' lives.
