ok, i have two black belts (male and female)
they are (Male) 5" - (female) 4"

the female is always hiding, and when not hiding getting chased by the male. (only other tankmate is Blood Parret)
Is this fighting, or is the male wanting to mate and the female not. ??

I'm considering taking the female out, but i got the two to mate.
What is your opinon? If i do take the female out, is there a chance i can reinterduce her to him? if not I will sell or trade her.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Vieja species are typically very intolerant of each other. What size tank are the pair in? Anything smaller than 90 gallons may make for a rough time.

I had a pair of V. fenestrata in a 125 gallon tank and this was too small to prevent the male from working over the female. The male was only 7"-8". Your Black Belts have the potential to grow to 14"!!

You may want to try an incomplete divider and/or adding a few target fish to disperse his aggression.
