Hey. A buddy of mine moved and gave me his black moor to look after. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a filter and air pump. I am getting him a bigger tank in 4 days. He's been in the 10 gallon 4 days so far. Will he be ok untill I am able to get him a tank upgrade? Also what decorations would you recommend for a moor? Do they like anything specific? Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I want my new friend to be as comfortable as possible

Is your current 10g cycled? Do you have a plan for cycling the new tank? That’s the most immediate concern in my opinion

Hopefully the filter came from your buddy's established tank so that it will process the ammonia the fish and feeding will produce. I encourage you to read up on tank cycling if you're not familiar.

You could keep 1-2 fancy goldfish in a 29g, but it's far from ideal. Goldfish need to be in groups to be most comfortable. The problem with that is now you need a pond, not a tank.

+1. Its like keeping a one foot long koi in a 20-30 gallon.
