Bleeding heart tetra with cottony growth

Hey all I did a 50% WC on my 36 g tank on Sunday. My water parameters are fine but tonight when I went to check on the fish I noticed a cottony fluffy growth on the side of my bleeding heart tetra looks like one of the other tetras nipped him. I hate when this happens it looks like fungus but am not sure. I have fungus guard in the house but before I treat the fish wanted to get another opinion. I have a small QT tank I can put the fish in to isolate him took some pics what do you think? I appreciate any advise. Thanks!

It does look like a fungal infection, possibly occurring over some physical injury the fish incurred before. I would agree that separating the fish would be best, and if you have antifungal medicine, I would definitely use it. Alternatively, table salt should clear it out. Need to maintain good airation and excellent water quality. Either with the antifungal or with salt, it should clear out in no more than 3 days (or even less), otherwise it is not working.
