Blinky. Ohhhhh BLINKY!!!!

ROFL I thought of Blinky too when that fish came on... the Missus came in from the kitchen to ask "Who the h**l is 'Blinky?'"
cuz you can say "blinky" and I can say "blinky", and no one has any clue but us. Your wife didn't know what you were talking about, but i did....
At our house, we refer to that as a "CLR," or common language reference. It's the kind of concept that has infiltrated our society and led to MovieSpeak and GuySpeak.
Fer instance, if we were watching two people discover something nasty about each other, I might say "Luke, I am you father!" You would know exactly what I meant, without having to get into the details of what I am talking about.
It's sad, and it only works if the other people around you have read/seen/experienced the same material, but when it works... it's AWESOME! I have a whole group of HeinlienSpeakers and ScifiSpeakers I deal with, and we almost always start off conversations with a reference to something we've all read.

Major, did you get it? On the simpsons last night they showed blinky. Not the AC member but the 3 eyed fish in blinky's avitar (from the simpsons). There was a........um....growth on said fish that I'm assuming was caused by Mr. Burns' carless dumping of "Radioactive" waste.
