Bloated zebra danio

For the last month, one of my several zebra danios has looked quite fat, but was active and hungry as the rest of them. This morning, it was dead and REALLY bloated looking. I'm wondering what this could have been.

That sounds like what happened to a Zebra danio I had also. It's stomach got very fat, and then it died.

I have one very bloated zebra danio, everything else seems normal (activity and appetite) it has been a couple weeks now. Scales are not protruding. Does anyone have any ideawhat I can do?

If there were no protruding scales, (dropsy), then it might have had a digestion problem or constipation. I had that happen to a guppy once. dffd, try feeding it peas, that might help.
