Blood Red Shrimp, any ideas please

Hi there :help:​

We have a blood red shrimp that seems to be fine, had him over a week now and he's already molted. He feeds fine and hangs upside down on his favourite piece of rock..​

This morning however he came out to feed and we noticed a black patch on his left hand side?​

Any ideas, is this normal, should we keep and eye on him?​

Just thought they were Red and white...​

nice tank! is it a spot or is it a bump if its a bump its probaly a parasite that likes to live on shrimp.

not a bump... more like a flat patch, like an ink spot is the only way to describe it really....

just hadn't noticed it before this morning...

im not to sure what it is then does anything else seem to be wrong with it?
its one of those things that require a pic to be sure of.

yeah he's fine nothing deters him from food anyway. he came out this morning as normal to eat.. i'll try and get a picture tonight when he comes out again....
