are blue gourami's known to be semi-aggressive fish? i have two in my tank and they seem to pick on the tetras and go after them.

Seems to depend on the fish. My Blue and Gold are both pretty mellow. They just swim around, eat never bother my other fish. However the ones I had with my rams before(I added the gourami's later) attacked and killed all of them over night. Keep an eye on them.

I will never gget a blue gourami again because when i was a young lad I had one and it killed my whole tank and it was my favorite fish so I had difficulties getting rid of him after the first few. this is unfortunate because I find them to be very attractive

I would say yes and no.

One blue gourami?
Aye, can work in well
Two blue gouramis?
Ach! Surely cause 'ell!
Three blue gouramis?
Nae! Says the lore
You really need to have at least
Four or more.

Ayup!

I concur. I have 4 total, 2 opalines, 2 neon dwarfs. They chase each other and occasionally nip each other, but it's nothing serious. However, they are still aggressive fish and there's always a chance you could get a set of mean ones who kill each other all day. If I could do it over I would go with a 1:3 male/female ratio as you are supposed to.

I have 3 blues, they are peaceful, no aggression whatsoiever

so from what roan art is saying one would work too?
*Possibly*

COULD work out well. I had one that nipped a rainbow female to bits. You never know with gouramis. Yer best with four or more.
