Ok lets see if i can do this by the book.

Ph-8.1 to 8.2

SG-1.023-1.024

the larger of my chromis has what looks like tiger stripes, three to be exact on each side. I was worried at first cause of the ich outbreak of a month or so ago. They are pretty good about staying out front and still so i got a closer look and its not a growth its like each individual scale is turning kinda green with a brown tint and its on both sides in almost the same pattern. Stripes, going vertical on his body. None of the other five seem to show any sign of it. I was feeding color enriched food before i lost everything but the chormis to ich and now that its just them and a few other guys their only getting dried pellets. But I only stopped with the formula one about two weeks ago when i ran out. I haven't had the time to stop back by the LFS and get some more. Plus the Marine fish book says that the fish left in there will eat anything and be good to go. any ideas or is this just something that is possibly normal? oh one more thing incase it makes a differents the subject chromis is only about 1 1/2".

Thanks
Shane

From my limited experience with chromis the color change seems normal. As ours matured they appeared to get vertical stripes of a brownish tint. I wouldn't worry unless they stop eating or exhibit other signs of stress.
