I was thinking about getting one a while ago but my LFS told me not to get it because I had a 24 gallon reef and everything fluctuated to much and it would die... Now I have a 90 gallon reef and everything is very stable and going great (now that the ick seems to be getting under control)

Everything i read is that they are very hard to keep but they are hardy...These are contradicting terms to me... If its hardy that means it should be easy to keep... in my 90 gallon i have one starfish and its a fancy red serpent. I want to get the Blue Linckia Sea Star but not sure what it needs to eat and why its hard to keep? Should i get one or is it a waste of money?

i would personlly go for it and get one...I would if i could find one somewhere....he he he...

Feeding wise, it will scavenge the reef finding tiny micro's and detrius. you can also suplliment this by providing meat chunks by hand nears its arms..The only thing with star-fish is that really do require a very stable tank as a sudden change will normally cause a bacertial outbreak, nacrosis in the arms, sometimes it may die...

I am pretty sure of the stability of your tank mike, so i would go for it mate..
