one of my blue mystery snails have lay about 6 cluster outside in a dyi small pond on our deck at nighttime or early morning. I put all the cluster in a container to hatch with a little water from the pond. 1 of the cluster has hatched within 4day and all the baby are moving. what food should i feed them, should i move them to another tank, what kind of calcium to feed them
I will try to take some pic of the baby next and my dyi hatchery

Well... depending on where you are keeping them and if there is fresh water movement, I just let mine roam the tank and eat what they want. Otherwise they like blanched zuchinni and algae wafers. They will eat flake too. Where do you live that you have them outside? I would like to be able to do that.

for proper shell growth you want to feed them snail jello (aka snello). there are recipes kicking around the forum here, and it's super easy to make!

i've always just let my baby snails roam free in tanks (10, 20, and 55 gallon). survival of the fittest i say, and when you are dealing with so many baby snails, if some die off, then it's not that big a deal. if you have fish in the tanks that are prone to eating snails, then a floating breeder net is a good idea for the snails.
