-6 Gallon Kotobuki Cube
-Real Pacific Ocean water (specific gravity 1.022- salinity dead on 30)
-Pukani Live Rock - It looks like there are a few macro's (and maybe a squirt) on the live rock so hopefully they make it through the cycle.
-Fiji mud under the rocks (instead of egg crate)
-Shallow layer of CaribSea live rock

Hit it with Instant Ocean Bio-Spira and will do it again after it has cycled before I add any livestock.

Next Project: DIY Skimmer (like this: http://vimeo.com/32682228) but with a nice glass bottle

Right now the tank sits in a window and gets full sunlight all day but I am thinking about ordering a couple Par38's (6,500k & 10,000k w/ blue & red)

Nice cube! Exactly the way it should be done IMO.

If you like the idea/look of PAR 38s, you may want to consider a Kessil A150W. You'll get more light in one unit for the same (or potentially less money). I would not use a red or green LED unless I had the ability to control those bulbs individually. Just my opinion of course.

Thanks for the very kind words! I will look at that kessil right now! I think I found a good source for the LED bulbs so that is the reason I was leaning that direction but I really like an all-in-one option (I like to keep things as simple as possible but I usually end up with more than I anticipated)

The reason I was considering red is that my current plans for this tank are to be VERY heavy on the macro-algae.
