Bolivian Ram now with Hole-in-the-Head

He does seem to look better. I hope he makes it.

By the way, sometimes instructions will be to mix or dilute with an alcohol because the medication will not easily dissolve in water.

Thank you, he's looking even better now. After his first bout with worms two years ago, he was bullied by another Ram until he went dark and stripey and hovered in a corner, but bounced right back in another tank until these latest issues. He's got to be getting pretty old for a ram, but so glad I didn't give up on him, he's a survivor...

From this angle the holes are more pronounced, but still healing. However I think I'll discontinue the Metro for now as it's supposed to be pretty potent and can cause organ damage. Bo is back to bottom-sitting with clamped fins, but still eating, and even ate some fresh veggies!

Bo has risen again! Last night he started flashing like crazy on the wood, out of the blue. The platies were fine, last water change 3 days ago, nothing new, but something was really irritating his gills. Did a water test, 0,0,10. Did another water change and added s little salt @ 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. This seemed to decrease the flashing almost immediately and today I haven't seen him scratch once. In fact he's off the bottom, fins up. I'm wondering if it's a low level of Ich, since he has no spots and seemed to clear up rather easily. I'll keep an eye on him and update the saga of Bo The Bulletproof Ram...

Changed out most of the salt and haven't seen any more flashing. Still not sure what that was about, and thinking it unlikely after all that Ich, even at low levels, would be alleviated so quickly.

Bo has another zit right in the middle of his forehead. He was a bit stripey and didn't eat much yesterday, but today is back in fine form. I guess he has his good days and bad days, like grandpa.

Gotta love those huge eyes...
