Looks a lot like a German Blue...

thanks! :hi: I have a new digital camera so I was testing it out. I am going to be posting some more pics of the rest of my fish on my profile page. I will post when I have them uploaded.

Nice pic.!! i have 4 also and they can get quit colorful depending on their mood. Do you feed them alot of "colour food"? I wish I could put more in but I think 4 is a nice fit in my tank. I also get a kick out of them when they are at each other.

I feed them a variety of shrimp, so bloodworms, flake, shrimp pellets, they also suck on the vegetable wafers before the clown loaches get to them. They are one of the best fish I have kept. :dance2:

Mine get a varied diet, flakes, bloodworms(they love those) , brine shrimp and color bits.

they love the color bits too. as a matter of fact they will take the colorbits over brine shrimp.

I've never thought Bolivian Ram could be colorful until I see these pictures. Most I saw in LFS are dull looking, no where near the German blue rams. Do they look better with dark background and low light. In LFS, they are light colored fish and the strong light in LFSs wash out the color. I always like Ram but I can't keep blue rams alive. May be I should keep Bolivian. Are they more hardy?

I really don't know if bolivians are more hardy than the blues. This is the first time I have kept rams of any sort and I'm sorry that I haven't tried them before this! They are sooo cool :thm: I took this picture when the temp. was raised to 82 degrees. They seem to color up more in higher temperatures. Water quality and food is obviously a deciding factor as well, make sure your weekly maintenance doesn't get skipped and you should have no problems keeping these cichlids.
